AACWP
AACWP

AACWP began in 2007, created by wedding professionals who saw the need for an organization dedicated to the education of those seeking to become wedding planners, and to elevate those already in the field through certification and continuing education. This premier group created and produced their first training course in 2007. Since then, they have produced courses each year, updating the curriculum to make sure their students received the best education in the wedding industry to set them up for success as well as polish the skills of those already in their careers. Our Training Course Director sees to the needs of our ever-changing training courses, instructors and students. Our membership volunteers in various committee roles, helping with everything from creating our annual Vendi Awards (the premier industry awards gala in Dallas-Fort Worth) to developing our curriculum and continuing education events.

How long do I have access to the course?
After enrolling there will be an official start and end date. Once the end date has been reached the course will no longer be available to access. The course details along with course syllabus will be discussed at length with the course Facilitator.

What is the difference between this course and the Self-Led course?
Our group online course is for a set 6 week period with other students and the Training Course Director meeting 5 out of the 6 weeks to review course questions and discuss any real-world scenarios. This gives students time to get to know each other and form friendships with those they can keep in contact with as they grow in this industry, something many of our students says in invaluable. With the Self-Led course, you are given more time, four months, to download and access the content on your own time. You will also have the four months plus an additional two for a total of six months to complete the homework. You can reach out to our Training Course Director with questions regarding the course materials, but there are no weekly meetings, guided help or meeting with other students.
Am I required to attend the Zoom meetings with the Training Course Director?
No, these meetings are not required to pass the course but we do find students truly enjoy the time with they can "pick the brain" of our Training Course Director to talk through anything course related as well as real-world scenarios.
